Walks Greenspaces and Countryside

Bedwellty House and Park - The house is fully accessible. There is an induction loop in the reception area. Disabled toilets are available. The park is a historic park and some visitors may find the historic paths somewhat steep. Interpretation panels in the park include Braille. 

Parc Bryn Bach (Tredegar) - The lake has a tarmac pathway of approximately 1.3 Miles. This gives access to walkers, cyclists, people with wheelchairs, prams and pushchairs. The Visitor Centre has been the subject of a number of facilities upgrades, in order to achieve compliance with the requisite legislation and codes of practice - see also this site - Specialist access cycles available for hire. see also this site

Gwent Wildlife Trust Reserves - (ACE is sorry to say the the PDF guide which included details of access and maps of reserves has been removed - we have asked for access info to be added to the site Sept 15)

Abertillery and District Museum - Abertillery has a wide range of artefacts from prehistoric times up to the present day, however they have a particularly well-stocked collection of mining artefacts. Full disabled access from Market Street.

Blaenau Gwent Care and Share - This parent-led group provides support to families of disabled children. The group has access to a holiday caravan.

Disability Sport Wales - Blaenau Gwent - Throughout Blaenau Gwent there is a wide range of activities for people with disabilities to participate in such as swimming, football and athletics sessions for all and multi sports clubs.
