Belle Vue Park Newport - Victorian public park - (ACE note - we have been unable to find any accessibility info for this site please contact us with any access info.)
Cwmcarn Forest - The visitor centre is fully DDA compliant; there is also wheelchair access from the visitor centre to and around the lake. One camping pod is accessible and there is a fully DDA compliant wet room on the campsite. also see this site

Tredegar House Park and Gardens - 90 acre park - Tarmaced paths from the car park up to the entrance of the grounds proper when they become gravelled. Ground floor wheelchair access to the House.

Nature Reserves
Newport Wetlands NNR - A 6km network of re-surfaced paths around the Uskmouth reedbeds allow access for all. There are benches approximately every 100m. The paths are level with some gentle slopes and a ‘zig-zag’ ramp to climb the 5 metres up to the raised reedbed levels. see also RSPB site and this site
